Autism Therapy

The diagnosis of autism is overwhelming for many families.  The families that we have worked with over the years have all asked us, “What do I do? What do I try first? Will this treatment work for me?”  We can hear the frustration and anxiety in their voices. Our response to them is that while there are some treatments that are beneficial for all children, there are others that work for some children and not for others.  Talk to your team of therapists and physicians before choosing a treatment.

Treating autism is a process; take it one day at a time.  BrainWise is not advocating any specific therapy or treatment, we are simply offering you the information in a more condensed form.

If you have any questions regarding a specific treatment feel free to email us and we will be glad to help you in any way.

A great resource is the book Autistic Spectrum Disorders Understanding the Diagnosis & Getting Help, by Mitzi Waltz.
